Happy July from the Las Cruces Museums, and Happy Independence Day!

Please note that the museums will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th in honor of the holiday. 

Now that we are sailing into the heat of summer, stop by the museums to cool off and have some fun! Check out a new program, take a class, or stroll leisurely through the galleries to beat the heat. We hope to see you soon!

Please note, unless specified, all programs and events are free and open to the public with no pre-registration required.
For programs or classes at any of the four Las Cruces Museums that do require pre-registration, such as Studio Programs or Summer and Science Camps, staff at the atrium desk at the Museum of Nature & Science, 411 North Main Street, would be happy to assist you.

Registrations must be completed in person between 10am - 4pm, Tuesdays - Saturdays. 

Registrations close on the Saturday before the start of class.

Artists living and working within a 150-mile radius of Las Cruces exhibit new works in all media. This year the Museum of Art is partnering with the New Mexico State University Art Gallery to host works in both venues.

A union of history and art, this exhibit celebrates the invaluable aid this country received from the two-nation guest worker program known as the Bracero Program. Through sculptures, paintings, and historic photographs, the exhibit provides the narrative for this American story.

- A traveling exhibition from the Museum of International Folk Art
Branigan Cultural Center
June 22 - September 15
This festive and multi-dimensional traveling exhibition explores the origins, influences, development, and appreciation of flamenco as a highly-respected art form on the world stage. This exhibit focuses on the folkloric roots of flamenco, sharing the story of its introduction into the United States and showcasing those who made flamenco a popular art form in this country. It looks at public fiestas and ferias in both Spain and the southwestern US, where Flamenco and Spanish dance continue to flourish as folk traditions. This exhibition has been organized by the Museum of International Folk Art, Santa Fe, NM, and its circulating through Guest Curator Traveling Exhibitions. Supported by the International Folk Art Foundation. Exhibition lead sponsors: Heritage Hotels & Resorts and New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation.

League of Women Voters: 50 Years of Study, Action, and Service in Las Cruces

The League of Women Voters of Greater Las Cruces celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. Explore how the League of Women Voters and the Las Cruces chapter have helped educate the community about participation in government and advocacy.
